V-Day weekend

Valentine's Day falls on a saturday. Initially, Ihave plans to take Brandon out. Just the 3 of us celebrating this day. Unfortunately, Brandon caught some viral and had fever. He woke up crying at 5 in the morning. I guess it was the heat, so gave him some paracetamol and it was gone within an hour. Fever came back at 11 after his morning nap and took him to Dr Ooi.

Dr Ooi check him and we had a hard time opening his mouth to see if he has got sore throat. We had to force open his mouth. Of course, professionally. Nope, no sore throat. So doc says it must be some virus. Gave him some bufen, she calls it. Works the same as paracetamol but different ingredients.

Went home, gave him his lunch. and gave him his medicine. Funny, this time he doesnt want to take medication. He struggles abit. but with some persistency from his mum, he gave in.

He din want anything for dinner. So gave him some milk. and he was fine for a while. Still at 37.8.

Nite time came and his temperature went up to 38.5. Went to sleep at 9pm and woke up 11pm crying and vomitted. changed him, took him to the bathtub and sponge with, i guess after that he felt better as the water cooled him down. gave him the medication again and went back to sleep with me carrying him.

Woke up at 3pm, and he was burning. he went up to 39.9, so scary. So packed his clothes to the emergency at SJMC, vomitted again. This time, sponge him all over. Temperature came down and we rushed him off to SJMC.

Doctor checked him and says its viral and that he had mild sore throat. Viral will make him vomit sometimes. Asked if we want to do a blood test and urine test but i said No. Not necessary cause the fever only 1 day. wont show anything - this is according to the emergency doc. So why ask me many times if i want to go ahead with the test. Why want to put him through all the pain and trauma knowing very well that it will not show anything?

they put in the sabostary and sent us home. his fever droped , Thank God. Called Dr Ooi to inform her about his condition, and I went back to her clinic to get some medication - some enzyme for his throat. and she gave me some schedule to control the temperature. every 3 hours alternate both medicaiton - bufen and paracetamol. wow, works amazingly. his temperature came under control. Gave him a shower and i guess he felt better because he was running and dancing and best activities for him, disturb his sister. haha.

He went to bed and we monitored his temperature until midnite, at 3.3o in the morning, his temperature went up to 38.2 and we gave him the sabostary. He was angry at his daddy for putting in something in his anus. Hanging on to me and asking his daddy to go away. Settled him down and fever was gone.

I had to leave him for work while he was still sleeping. He must have woke up crying for me and his daddy made a video call and he was crying there asking for me. Felt so bad. But am sure he is in good hands today. This is one of the advantage if your child is under the care of family.

Called doc today to see if i should follow the schedule back and because he has fever again last nite, its better to follow for another day. So today he is going to have his medication for every 3 hours. Poor boy.

I put up this post and out down every details because i want myself to remember this. I want us to remember how we tend to him during all his sickness. So maybe one day we could use one of these tactics taught by the doctors.

Mischevious

When i reach home from work, after like 1 hour jam, I hate the Klang jam. So terrible, why cant ppl be more considerate so that everyone can get home early. Anyway, so reach home safely, talk to the kids abit, kids as in Brandon, my boy and Jessene my niece. Talk to them abit and went up for shower. Brandon now knows how to say " I want to follow mummy" and so ok, he now will follow me up to the room, he will be busy with his DVD player and TV, he will switch on the TV and dance to the songs and I will be in the shower. On and off i will be calling his name and told him that he must answer. So he will "ooi, here" and let me know that he is alert. mummy calls means have to answer.

after shower, time for his dinner, the maid came up to take him down, so i proceed to log into MSN and check my facebook. Got alot of parking tickets for my parking wars game.hemm...have not been logging in since i started this new job. been sleeping early. I need my 8 hours sleep. at least 6 hours. else, i'll be a cranky mummy. and so, was chatting with a friend and knock knock, maid told me we all need to bring Jessene to Dr.Ooi. She has been having fever for 2 days now. So ok, drove everyone out as in Mil, the 2 kids and the maid, the others are all out. Took her to Dr.Ooi, came back, was really hungry, had my dinner then watch some Tv with the kids, get Brandon ready for bed. He has been asking to drink his milk in the room nowadys. So took everything up and drink his milk upstairs, changed him into his PJs and switch off all the light. then he told me he needs to do his poo poo. got a little scolding from me because i have asked him before changing him into his PJs.

he tends to make lots of excuses, last time, he use to ask to brush his teeth, now he ask to poo poo. Hubby was wondering why nowadys, he only poo at nite. haha.

after poo poo and washing him, he will be running around the room while clean up. then i will have to chase him around the room to put back his pants. then have to use my threatening tactic, telling him, the lion coming, telling him the clown coming. then he will settle down and falls asleep. Usually will end up sleeping at 11pm. because he has 2 naps during the day. Maybe 2 naps now is too much for him. but because he wakes up early in the morning. Hemm....anyway...will just let him grow up his way.

so yeap...here's his recent mischievious way....but no matter what, he is still my little baby boy....i will always love him....

Ice Cream

They all say "Dont ever lie to a child, they will remember" and TRUE...dun ever promise a child anything and not do it, they will remember.

Brought Brandon to 1 Utama on sunday, initial plan is to bring him to Kidzspot but by the time we got there, Daddy says he wants to eat...so we went to Chillis and yum yum...we ordered the chili bowl, and the buffalo wings or wings over buffalo...cant remember and a main course so we could order a free meal for Brandon. We got a hotdog with french fries for him. When the hotdog came, he was so excited and grab the french fries right away and chump it into his mouth. He was so happy. that gave us some time to enjoy the chili bowl and the buffalo wings.

Then he was bored with the fries. We tried to entertain him with all sorts of food. He was drawing on the papers that the waitress gave him. oh ya...we promise to buy him ice cream. so after drawing for a few minutes, he says "mummy, i want ice cream" and so we pretend to order for him and he waited patiently. 3 minutes passed and again, "mummy, ice cream". So i told him, kor kor says ice cream finish, we go get ice cream downstairs ok? he is a good boy... so he waited again. next he says he needs to shi shi...i took him to the washroom where they have a baby room. he was doing his business and while im concentrating on him doing his business, making sure he wont shoot anywhere...he opens the pipe that was facing up and splash....water everywhere....he was wet and i was wet...scolded him and well, he is smart enough to say "sorry mummy" before i can do anything.

Took him back to the restaurant and i was telling Daddy everything, he was smilling there and added the sound effect of the water splashng out.

after the lunch, we went for walk abit...then when we are about to proceed to the parking lot to get our car, he told his daddy, he wants ice cream...oh, we were already at lever 3, very near the parking lot, and beign the lazy mummy and daddy, we told him we will go to McDonald...that's the day he started talking about McDonald. so we went to the drive thru and got him an ice cream cone. He was so excited. It was his first proper ice cream. He licked abit and was laughing. Licked the ice cream and laughed again. He was so happy that he finally got his ice cream. We din lie, we promised and we delivered.

So this was his 1st ice cream trip...we call it.

CNY is over

This blog is suppose to be "written" by Brandon but hemm...he got lazy so the mummy took over. He has become talkative recently, demanding as well. He makes us laugh so much sometimes and I'm sure he is wondering why does his mummy and daddy keeps laughing at him but as a baby, he is still a baby to us, he will laugh with us and enjoys the joke.

Well, im sure he enjoys his CNY very much this year. Alot of visitors for him to show off his new room and his toys. He also shows his guest that he can operates the DVD player all by himself. Without his parents help. Yeap, he knows which button is the power and which is the play button. Im sure nowadays, all the children knows how to operates the TV and the DVD player.

Well, i'll try to keep his growing details in this blog but i'll also need to find time to access into internet in order for me to remember to update his blog. hemm...should put a reminder in my phone.
